A calm, confident guide to showing up, feeling amazing, and letting the magic unfold

You booked the session. The outfits are picked. The countdown is on.

Now comes the question every client secretly asks:

“Okay… but what actually happens on session day?”

Good news: you don’t need to know how to pose, perform, or be “photogenic.”

That’s my job. Your job is to show up I’ll guide you through the rest.

Here’s exactly what to expect when you step into a session with GamerGurl Photography.

Before You Arrive: Set the Vibe

By the time session day arrives, you’ll already have:

Prep guides (what to wear, what to bring, what not to stress about)

Location details + timing

A clear plan so nothing feels rushed or chaotic

Pro tip: Eat something, hydrate, and give yourself extra travel time. A relaxed arrival sets the tone for everything that follows.

Arrival & Hellos (Yes, This Part Matters)

We’ll meet at the agreed location and take a few minutes to:

Breathe

Say hi

Walk the space together

Make sure outfits, props, and details feel right

This is where nerves usually melt away. You’ll quickly realize this is collaborative, not awkward.

No pressure. No judgment. No “stand there and smile” energy.

Posing, Movement & Direction (You’re Never Left Guessing)

You will never hear:

“Okay… just do something.”

Instead, I’ll guide you with:

Natural prompts

Micro-adjustments (hands, shoulders, chin, posture)

My Fave sayings are "ass out and tits to god"

"If it feels awkward it looks good on camera"

Movement instead of stiff posing

Story-based direction (perfect for fantasy, cosplay, and couples)

If something feels uncomfortable, we adjust.

If something looks amazing, we lean into it.

You don’t need modeling experience  just trust the process.

The Energy Shift: When You Forget the Camera Exists

About 10–15 minutes in, something magical happens.

You stop thinking about:

Your face

Your body

The camera

And start focusing on:

The story

The emotion

The moment

That’s when the real images happen  the ones that feel powerful, intimate, cinematic, or deeply you.

Outfit Changes & Breaks (Built In, Always)

You’ll have time to reset, breathe, and refocus

This is never rushed. We move at a pace that keeps energy high and stress low.

Trust the Process (Even When It Feels Weird)

Some poses feel strange in the moment.

Some moments feel quiet or subtle.

That’s normal and often where the strongest images live.

If something isn’t working, I pivot.

If the light shifts, I adapt.

If the weather surprises us, we make it part of the story.

Flexibility is part of the magic.

Artistic boudoir photoshoot in moody lighting against exposed brick wall with white bedding.

You just need to show up as you are.

Whether this is a wedding, boudoir, fantasy portrait, cosplay, or LARP session — my role is to help you see yourself as the hero, lover, warrior, or legend you already are.
