Britannia Faire is the culmination of 10 years of planning and dreams. Back in 2010 David "Reddwycke" Laime took his experience in the meetings and hospitality industry and his life passion for medieval fantasy fiction, and live action role play and began construction on the Faire. The goal, build a world away from the world in which to dream and laugh, learn and play. Ten years later with a lot of lessons learned, progress made and dreams fulfilled he knows now the adventure has just begun. Here in the valley we strive each day to build the faire better and make the world brighter. We hope you enjoy your adventure here.

David Neil Laime (also known as Reddwycke du Foret), born in Falls Church, VA on December 19, 1971 left this mortal world to become one with the earth on the eve of December 24, 2022 in Barnesville, OH near his beloved Britannia Faire.

David was gifted in the art of imagination, storytelling and following his dreams. During his travels from the Atlantic to the Pacific he made lifelong friends with his charismatic spirit and affinity for good conversation. These qualities served him well as a lifelong entrepreneur, performer of the arts and outdoors man, who once inspired could not be detoured. He will be mourned in the North, South, East and West for once you met him you could not forget him.

We will See You in Valhalla
